Foody – Terms of Service

1. About Foody

Foody is a restaurant discovery platform.

• Users browse restaurant profiles, daily campaigns, discounts, and promotional offers.
• Foody does not provide ordering, delivery, or payment services.
• All purchases happen physically at the restaurant.
• Restaurants decide their own pricing, availability, terms, and campaign rules.

Using Foody means you accept these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old or have guardian permission to use the service.

3. User Accounts

• Foody uses Google Sign-In for authentication.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and device.
• You may delete your Foody account at any time inside the application.

4. What Foody Does

Foody provides:

• Access to restaurant profiles
• Campaigns and discount listings
• Swipe-based discovery tool
• Optional subscription features for users
• Optional subscription services for partner restaurants
• Tools for restaurants to publish promotions, menus, or loyalty features

Foody does not provide:

• Food ordering
• Delivery services
• Pickup orders
• Reservation services
• Payment processing
• Refund handling
• Product replacement
• Customer support for restaurant issues

Any commercial transaction is strictly between the user and the restaurant, on-site.

5. Restaurant Responsibility

Restaurants are solely responsible for:

• Food quality
• Ingredients, allergens, and food safety
• Pricing and discounts
• Availability of items or campaigns
• Opening hours
• Redemption of campaigns
• Any customer service issues

Foody is not liable for any action or omission by a restaurant.

6. User Conduct

Users agree to:

• Use the service legally and respectfully
• Not manipulate campaigns, loyalty stamps, or subscriptions
• Not upload harmful or misleading content
• Not impersonate others
• Not attempt to hack, disrupt, or misuse the service

Foody may suspend accounts for violations.

7. Subscriptions

7.1 User Subscriptions

• Foody may offer optional paid tiers for enhanced features.
• Subscription terms will always be shown before purchase.
• Payments are handled by App Store / Google Play, not Foody.

7.2 Restaurant Subscriptions

• Restaurants may subscribe on a monthly fee basis.
• Foody may suspend or terminate restaurant access for non-payment or misuse.

8. No Guarantees

Foody provides the service "as is". We do not guarantee:

• Availability
• Error-free operation
• Continuous access
• Accuracy of restaurant information
• Validity of campaigns at all times

9. Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by Finnish law, Foody (Nordics Tech Oy) is not liable for:

• Restaurant actions or errors
• Food safety issues
• Incorrect pricing or outdated information
• Allergens or dietary reactions
• Problems with campaign redemption
• Losses or damages caused by restaurants
• Technical interruptions or data loss
• Indirect or consequential damages

10. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time.
• Foody may suspend or terminate access if rules are violated.

11. Changes to the Service

Foody may modify or discontinue features without prior notice.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms.

• We will notify users of significant changes inside the app or on our website.
• If you do not accept updated Terms, stop using the service.

13. Governing Law

• These Terms follow Finnish law.
• Disputes will be resolved locally in Finland.
• Consumers always retain statutory rights under mandatory law.
